You can save nearly anywhere, and easily pick the game back up. There are plenty of things to do, and most dungeon levels only take 15 minutes to completely explore. In fact, a lot of the nudity and sexual content doesn't come to play in the first few chapters. + This is a hentai game, and can be often ridiculous, but the sex scenes do take a backseat to the quests and gameplay. + There are branching paths and multiple possible endings, which adds replayability. A lot of these are hugely rewarding if enough time is spent. ![]() + There are a ton of things to do, with crafting, secret special events, side quests, Arena battles, item collections, and zone explorations. + The characters have enough diversity to make things interesting, with different attack elements, ability to travel odd terrain types, and special abilities. + This game reminded me a lot of the top-down Shining Force games, which I still like to play every so often. I'm not going to do a large write-up, since I don't want to repeat what has already been discussed on this thread, but here are some of the positives and negative from my perspective. I'm still playing it off and on to get through the additional content. I beat this game about a month ago and really did enjoy it. XP might cause more problems than Win7 in that regard, as I remember it gave me some trouble with Japanese games, while Win7 is much more robust. If you really can't get it working with AppLocale, then you'll probably need to install and play the game with the system locale set to Japanese. Just be sure to not change the fonts to something else. If all went well, you should be able to play the game with your regular system locale. ![]() ![]() Go to Configuration and on the "Text" tab, change the two fonts to "MS UI Gothic", then quit the game.Ĩ) Change the system locale back to whatever it was before you switched it to Japanese, and reboot.ĩ) Launch Kamidori English.exe with AppLocale in Japanese mode. Can't remember where it was on XP but it should be similarly named places.ħ) Start the game in English with Kamidori English.exe where you installed the game there is no need to use AppLocale at this point. Click the second button ("Change system locale") and select Japanese and reboot. On Win7, you need to open the control panel, open "Region and Language" (type it in the search box if you can't find it on your own) and select the "Administrative" tab. You might want to see the readme first and check if the game and patches are all installed properly.Ħ) If you haven't yet, you need to change the language for non-Unicode programs. Same rules apply.ĥ) Unzip the English patch where you installed the game. Same rules apply.Ĥ) Install kami_200.exe. Same rules apply.ģ) Install kami_ap02.exe. I left the default install path, and the option you can tick during installation controls whether you want an icon on your desktop or not.Ģ) Install kami_ap01.exe. If you changed the system locale to Japanese already, then you can launch them right away, else you'll need to use AppLocale. I know the information I gave is already mostly available in this thread, but a summary never hurts and I had to struggle a little bit with the installation.ġ) Install the game from the DVD from either autorun.exe or setup.exe. I didn't change the support for non-Unicode programs to Japanese to install the game though it certainly works, and you'll need to do it before launching the game so it's a question of whether you want to do it now or later. ![]() I'm using Win7 圆4, which I find much better when it comes to supporting foreign games than XP. I haven't completed the full game yet so it's possible that I may encounter a situation where AppLocale makes the game crash continuously but so far so good. AppLocale works for KAM but you need to take a few steps for that.
